Earlier this month, Mosaic@CRA, our employee resource group (ERG) that supports our Black, Hispanic, Latino/a, Native American, and Pacific Islander colleagues, partnered with the New York City chapter of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), and Loeb & Loeb LLP to host a fireside chat and networking event in New York City. The event kicked off with a fireside chat with Judy Smith, an attorney and crisis management expert who has served as an advisor for many corporate, celebrity, nonprofit and government clients—and the inspiration for the hit ABC show “Scandal.” Judy shared a thought-provoking, empowering, and at times humorous recount of how her career took shape, tough decisions she’s had to make along the way, and navigating and discovering her own form of work/life balance. She also spoke about her experience working in television with the development of “Scandal”, and the significance of the show having the first Black female lead in over 30 years. Thank you to Mosaic@CRA, LCLD, and Loeb & Loeb for hosting, and to Judy Smith for sharing her expertise and unique story! We look forward to collaborating with LCLD on future events that bring together attendees from diverse backgrounds in a fun and intentional way. #MosaicatCRA #professionaldevelopment #inclusiveworkplace #LCLD #CRAlwaysLearning #diversityatwork #employeeengagement
