Lectures led by Tanium experts with complementary hands-on practice in customized sandbox environments. Intended for both new users and those looking to expand their existing Tanium skills and knowledge.

For the first time ever, Tanium will be hosting hands-on labs that are co-led by Tanium partners. These sponsor co-led labs will be available both in-person and virtually and feature SMEs from Microsoft, ServiceNow, PwC, and AHEAD.
Dive into the world of cutting-edge security by integrating Microsoft Security Copilot with Tanium and ServiceNow. This hands-on lab will guide participants through detecting incidents, automating ticket creation, performing initial triage, and remediating security issues efficiently. By the end of this lab, participants will be equipped to enhance their organization’s security posture through streamlined workflows and powerful integrations.
Pre-Req(s): Prior experience with Tanium Administration, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE)

Many IT Operations teams spend countless hours submitting change requests for their patching activities. Imagine a world where IT Ops staff can save time by opening changes for their patch activities in ServiceNow and have them be scheduled automatically after they are approved. The future is now! In this hands-on lab, participants will have access to their own Tanium and ServiceNow environments to perform an automated monthly patching cycle orchestrated by ServiceNow.
Pre-Req(s): Basic understanding of Tanium Platform, Patch and Deploy; Basic understanding of ServiceNow (Change Management concepts and Flow Designer knowledge)

In this lab, participants will get an understanding of the Vulnerability Response Framework and architecture supported by Tanium and ServiceNow. Participants will then configure the needed Vulnerability Response app integrations, as available in the ServiceNow store. Lastly, participants will work on additional configuration activities based on best practices and experiences we have discovered during customer implementations.
Pre-Req(s): Administrative ServiceNow knowledge; Administrative knowledge of Tanium; Familiarity with vulnerability and patch management

This lab focuses on integrating Tanium with Microsoft Sentinel to enhance SOC (Security Operations Center) capabilities. The integration utilizes Tanium connectors and Sentinel's real-time capabilities to offer several benefits:
Data Integration: Students will learn how to send data from Tanium to Sentinel and create incidents using the Tanium connection.
Incident Management: The lab involves leveraging both automated and manual incident actions, utilizing Tanium as a data source.
Real-time Remediation: Students will use Tanium's API for real-time remediation actions within Sentinel.
Pre-Req(s): Practical experience with Tanium, specifically Threat Response; Basic understanding of Microsoft Sentinel.

In-Person Labs
Tanium expert-led lectures with opportunities for hands-on experience in custom-built environments. Intended for both new users and those looking to expand their existing Tanium skills and knowledge.
Adding In-Person Labs to your Converge In-Person ticket costs $495.00 ($395.00 for verified government employees).
The In-Person Labs ticket add-on awards registrants with choice of one of the below access options:
- Up to seven (7) Labs total to take in-person at Converge
- Nov. 18: Four (4) In-Person Labs
- Nov. 20: Two (2) In-Person Labs
- Nov. 21: One (1) In-Person Lab
- Up to four (4) Labs total to take in-person at Converge + Capture the Flag (CTF)

In-Person Lab signups will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until 5:00 PM PT on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, or when the Lab’s capacity is reached, whichever comes first. This policy will also apply to those who register for Labs and wish to change their selections after completing their registration.
If you can attend Converge but need to cancel In-Person Labs from your ticket, you can do so by contacting [email protected]. If you can no longer attend Converge or Hands-On Labs, you can cancel your registration by providing written notice to Tanium by emailing [email protected].
The Converge refund policy is as follows:
- Cancellation on or before Tuesday, October 1, 2024: Full refund of registration fee, less a $50.00 processing fee.
- Cancellation on or after Wednesday, October 2, 2024: Partial refund at Tanium’s sole discretion.
If applicable, Tanium will refund the Registrant’s registration fees within sixty (60) days of receipt of the cancellation notice. No registration refunds will be provided other than through the process described here.
Yes! All Hands-On Labs are CEU credit eligible. To receive credits, you will need to opt-in to being scanned into the Lab sessions you attend at Converge. You will then receive an email approximately one month after the event concludes with instructions on how to access your CEU credit certificates. 0.2 CEU credits will be awarded for every in-person Hands-On Lab completed.
To participate in the In-Person Labs, you will need access to a laptop/workstation that can open PDF documents and has an HTML5-enabled modern browser (preferably Chrome) installed. VPN and/or VDI should not be enabled when taking labs, as this may impact your experience. Tablets/iPads can be used as a secondary monitor, if needed, but should not be used as the primary device with which you access the Lab environments

Virtual Self-
Service Labs
User-driven access to a select number of lab environments to explore at user’s own pace on November 19 and 20. The format of the Virtual Self-Service Labs will include access to recorded lectures by Tanium experts, followed by access to the corresponding custom-built sandbox environments.
Virtual attendees can add Virtual Self-Service Labs to their Converge Virtual ticket for $199. This fee is applied in addition to the Converge Virtual base ticket cost.
The Virtual Self-Service Labs ticket add-on includes access to the following:
- Up to four (4) virtual self-service Labs to explore at your own pace on November 19 and 20. (Lab format will include access to a recorded lecture provided by Tanium experts, followed by access to the corresponding custom-built sandbox environment.)
- Capture the Flag (CTF) on November 18 (Pre-registration required).
Those with the Virtual Self-Service Labs ticket add-on will have access to the four (4) custom-built lab environments of their choosing. Two (2) on November 19, and two (2) on November 20, where they can complete labs with the help of the provided supplemental materials.
These materials will consist of the following:
- Lab access guide
- Custom lab environment
- Lab presentation recording
- Lab walkthrough recording
- Lab presentation PDF
- Supporting lab materials (if applicable)
Virtual Self-Service Lab signups will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until 5:00pm PT on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, or when capacity is reached, whichever comes first. This policy will also apply to those who register for Labs and wish to make/change their individual Lab selections after completing their registration.
If you no longer wish to take the Virtual Self-Service Labs, you can cancel them from your Converge Virtual registration by emailing [email protected].
