Dane Thomas is the Head of Global Security Engineering at JLL. In this role, Dane is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and integrating all endpoint, network, and cloud security technologies, as well as JLL's vulnerability management and application security tooling. Dane joins JLL from TransUnion where he led global security engineering and SOAR (security orchestration, automation, and response). Prior to that, he worked in cybersecurity operations with ERCOT, the company charged with maintaining the security and reliability of the Texas power grid. Dane recently completed 12 years of service as an intelligence specialist with the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Dane has a Master of Science in Cyber Security and Information Assurance, numerous industry certifications, and is the recipient of two SANS net war coins. In his free time, he enjoys travelling/backpacking with his wife Daniela and obsessing about Formula One. Dane currently lives in Austin, Texas.
