As Corporate Vice President of the Security Platform & AI organization, Shawn Bice oversees a team responsible for Microsoft’s AI‑ready security platform, Security Copilot, Security Store, and AI research, his team advances a unified ecosystem that accelerates agentic AI adoption, delivers unparalleled visibility, and empowers defenders to detect and respond faster—making the world safer and more productive for all.

Previously, Shawn has held senior leadership roles at Splunk, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft, bringing nearly 25 years of expertise in operational, analytic, and distributed data systems. Shawn originally joined Microsoft in 1997 and quickly became known as a leader driven by a passion for curiosity, learning, and applying those qualities to create new value for customers. Today, his work aims to help organizations manage the range of security risks pursuing their digital transformations.

Shawn earned a B.S. from Eastern Michigan University and began his career as a U.S. Army Officer in the 25^th Infantry. He has served on the Technical Committee for the Seattle Kraken, an NHL hockey team, and currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Washington Federal Bank.
