Tyler Schultz is the Tanium Guardian and Threat Research Team Lead, where he leads content development that addresses a range of persistent and time-sensitive risks facing Tanium's customers.
Before this role, Tyler served on Tanium's Endpoint Security team and worked as a Technical Account Manager. He also spent over nine years in the United States Air Force, where he led threat hunting, incident response, and IT operations work for the Air Force and the Intelligence Community.
Throughout his career, Tyler has focused on detection engineering, digital forensics and incident response (DFIR), and training the next generation of practitioners.
Tyler is a graduate of the US Air Force Academy and the US Air Force Weapons School. He is currently pursuing a master's degree at SANS Technology Institute and holds multiple GIAC certifications, including GX-FE, GCFR, GIME, GSTRT, and GCFA, among others.
