James Cochran is a Director of Threat Hunting at Tanium, where he works closely with customers to develop, mature, and operationalize threat hunting, security monitoring, and incident response capabilities using the Tanium platform. With more than seven years at Tanium, James has held multiple security roles across research and development as well as customer training and enablement, giving him a deep understanding of both the technology and its real-world application. Prior to joining Tanium, James served eight years in the United States Marine Corps, specializing in Defensive Cyberspace Operations. During his military service, he led and supported numerous threat hunting and incident response operations across Marine Corps networks, contributing to the protection of mission-critical systems and national defense infrastructure.
