Join our Ethical Hackers for Europe's top cyber event this week! 📅 Not-to-be-missed highlights: 👉The keynote "It's time for (r)evolution", hosted by our famous Charl van der Walt, Head of Research at Orange Cyberdefense, traveling from South Africa for us 👉A workshop immersing #CISOs in scenarios reproducing the compromise of an information system 👉The traditional Ethical Hacking Competition (“Capture the Flag” - #CTF) on the night of April 26th bringing together security experts, students and enthusiasts who work in teams to tackle various cyber challenges presented in the form of realistic scenarios: searching for security breaches, solving cryptographic problems, exploiting vulnerable software... Participants put their Ethical Hacking skills into practice, learn new techniques, work together and have fun while tackling stimulating challenges with prizes at stake! 👏 I'm very proud of all our Orange Cyberdefense Ethical Hackers in the spotlight this week, in particular our recognized teams in South Africa 🇿🇦 , Switzerland 🇨🇭 and France 🇫🇷. Their daily job: putting themselves in the shoes of cybercriminals and simulating attacks on our customers' systems to better protect them by uncovering their vulnerabilities one step ahead of the bad guys. This is a major challenge, given that more than half of all vulnerabilities discovered thanks to the methods of Ethical Hackers and our knowledge of the threat are considered to be 'critical'. Orange Cyberdefense discovered that attackers injected a previously unknown backdoor into a logging component of a vulnerable Ivanti appliance using the recently disclosed Server-Side Request Forgery vulnerability, CVE-2024-21893, thus providing the attacker with persistent remote access.
