Kevin Keast Leads Endpoint Security supporting the US Coast Guard. Mr. Keast is a 1991 graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He then went on to complete three back to back sea tours, including a tour with the United States Navy and a tour as Commanding Officer of an 82 foot coastal patrol boat. Commander Keast then went to graduate school where he received a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island in 1999 where he published his thesis entitled Modeling and Simulation of the Coast Guard Data Network. In 2004, Commander Keast continued his operational career as Chief of Response at Coast Guard Sector Long Island Sound in New Haven, Connecticut working coastal search and rescue, port security, and law enforcement. Commander Keast then spent four years as the Division Chief for Communications and Sensors for the Office of Command Control Communications & Sensors Capabilities at Coast Guard Headquarters. Commander Keast retired in 2013 and has been leading the USCG’s endpoint security team that engineers, integrates, and operationalizes endpoint security technologies that protect Coast Guard networks. Mr. Keast is a Federal 100 winner and considered a thought leader on endpoint security.
