Converge offers numerous Lab offerings for both in‑person and virtual attendees.

In‑Person Labs

Lectures led by Tanium experts with complementary hands‑on practice in customized sandbox environments. Intended for both new users and those looking to expand their existing Tanium skills and knowledge.

CEU Credits: CEU credits are not being offered at Converge this year.

Needed Ticket Type:  Available to in‑person attendees with an In‑Person Labs ticket add‑on

Up to six (6) Labs total to take in person at Converge:

  • Nov. 16:  Four (4) In‑Person Labs
  • Nov. 19:  Two (2) In‑Person Labs

Virtual Self‑Service Labs

User‑driven access to a select number of lab environments to explore at user’s own pace on November 17 & November 18. The format of the Virtual Self‑Service Labs will include access to recorded lectures by Tanium experts, followed by access to the corresponding custom‑built sandbox environments.

Hands‑On Labs and Virtual Self-Service Labs will be available to add on to your registration based on your base ticket type (in‑person or virtual). Click on each base ticket type below to review the applicable add‑ons.

In‑Person Labs

Tanium expert‑led lectures with opportunities for hands‑on experience in custom‑built environments. Intended for both new users and those looking to expand their existing Tanium skills and knowledge.

Adding In‑Person Labs to your Converge In‑Person ticket costs $495.00 ($395.00 for verified government employees).

The In‑Person Labs ticket add-on awards registrants access to up to six (6) Labs total to take in person at Converge - four (4) In‑Person Labs on November 16 and two (2) In‑Person Labs on November 19.

In‑Person Lab signups will be available on a first‑come, first‑serve basis until each lab’s capacity is reached. Lab signups and changes to lab selections will be available to lab ticket holders up through the Converge event and be accommodated as space allows.

If you can attend Converge but need to cancel In‑Person Labs from your ticket, you can do so by contacting [email protected]. If you can no longer attend Converge or Hands‑On Labs, you can cancel your registration by providing written notice to Tanium by emailing [email protected].

The Converge refund policy is as follows:

  • Cancellation on or before Wednesday, October 7:  Full refund of registration fee, less a $50.00 processing fee.
  • Cancellation on or after Thursday, October 8:  Partial refund at Tanium’s sole discretion.

If applicable, Tanium will refund the Registrant’s registration fees within sixty (60) days of receipt of the cancellation notice. No registration refunds will be provided other than through the process described here. 

CEU credits will not be offered for In-Person Labs at Converge this year.

To participate in the In‑Person Labs, you will need access to a laptop/workstation that can open PDF documents and has an HTML5‑enabled modern browser (preferably Chrome) installed. VPN and/or VDI should not be enabled when taking labs, as this may impact your experience. Tablets/iPads can be used as a secondary monitor, if needed, but should not be used as the primary device with which you access the Lab environments.

Virtual Self‑Service Labs

User‑driven access to a select number of lab environments to explore at user’s own pace on November 17 and November 18. The format of the Virtual Self‑Service Labs will include access to recorded lectures by Tanium experts, followed by access to the corresponding custom‑built sandbox environments.

Virtual attendees can add Virtual Self‑Service Labs to their Converge Virtual ticket for $199. This fee is applied in addition to the Converge Virtual base ticket cost.

The Virtual Self‑Service Labs ticket add‑on includes access to the following:

  • Access to up to four (4) Virtual Self‑Service Labs to explore at your own pace on November 17 and November 18. (Lab format will include access to a recorded lecture provided by Tanium experts, followed by access to the corresponding custom‑built sandbox environment.) 

Those with the Virtual Self‑Service Labs ticket add‑on will have access to the four (4) custom‑built lab environments of their choosing. Two (2) on November 17, and two (2) on November 18, where they can complete labs with the help of the provided supplemental materials.

These materials will consist of the following:

  • Lab access guide
  • Custom lab environment
  • Lab presentation recording
  • Lab presentation PDF
  • Lab Instruction Takeaway
  • Supporting lab materials (if applicable)

Virtual Self‑Service Lab signups will be available on a first‑come, first‑serve basis until the start date/time for the lab, or when capacity is reached, whichever comes first. This policy will also apply to those who register for Labs and wish to make/change their individual Lab selections after completing their registration.

If you no longer wish to take the Virtual Self‑Service Labs, you may cancel them from your Converge Virtual registration by emailing [email protected].
